Regardless of his personal life, there is no denying Michael Jackson was one of the top entertainers of our time. His death was a huge loss to an industry in need of a spark. As you can imagine, fans have taken the hit very hard, but continue to purchase songs and recordings in droves to remember their fallen hero.
On the official Michael Jackson website there is a very cool “WALL” where fans can share their MJ memories. So far 580,915 posts have been submitted worldwide!
Another very neat feature is the “THRILLERCAST”. Here you will find 28 podcasts of famous people talking about the influence Michael Jackson had on their art. There is a very diverse group of musician in the lineup from Quincy Jones to Weird Al Yankovic.
Here is the most up to date information on release dates:
- CD is scheduled for official release on October 26 & 27 (Depending on where you are in the world)
- “This Is It” movie will be in Theaters October 28
- Retro Vinyl version available on November 10

“This Is It” by Michael Jackson is destined to be an instant classic. It has all of the flow and pop hook that took MJ to the top. He might have taken some hits for his private life, but never took any hits in the talent category. His music is timeless, and “This Is It” fits the MJ formula of his artistic magic!
